WELCOME TO OUR NEWEST ARTIFACT ADVENTURE - THE NEFF LAKE SITE!!!

Neff Lake - One of Ancient Florida's Favorite Homes!

Neff Lake - One of Ancient Florida's Favorite Homes!

Neff Lake - One of Ancient Florida's Favorite Homes!

Nestled in the hills of beautiful and ancient Hernando County, Neff Lake was once the home of many ancient indigenous groups that lived and hunted along it's shores and countryside. Dozens of springs, runoff creeks, and ravines fed this ancient lake with fresh, clean water for eons, helping to populate Neff Lake with a plethora of flora and fauna that the ancients utilized to establish long-term villages and hunting grounds.

Local outcrops of high-grade lithic materials were also highly prevalent, and made for great stone tools. It was also used to trade for other exotic lithic materials, such as the much-prized agatized coral from nearby Pasco County.

During our tests, we found that the peoples of the ancient middle- to late- archaic and Woodland eras inhabited this site, and there are so many more waiting in the ground for you to discover!

Well Known To Florida's Artifact Collectors!

Neff Lake - One of Ancient Florida's Favorite Homes!

Neff Lake - One of Ancient Florida's Favorite Homes!

With so many artifact-rich sites surrounding Neff Lake and the immediate area, it is no wonder that Neff Lake became such a big attraction for artifact collectors. One such group, the NLDC (Neff Lake Dig Club) was a group of local relic collectors that spent the majority of their time digging multiple artifact-rich sites on Neff Lake and found thousands of projectile points and tools!

The Neff Lake Site will certainly prove to be one of our favorites, and we can't wait to see what awesome treasures that you find at The Neff Lake Site!
